AUBERGE DU CABESTAN

More than a hotel, a charming address

authentic brittany

There are places that want to do more than just welcome you. They are looking forward to seeing you. The Auberge du Cabestan is among them. This house, which was built in new Breton architecture about 60 years ago, has always been a family home. In our increasingly standardized world where many hotels lose their soul, our hotel, l'Auberge du Cabestan is a refuge, a haven.

At two steps from the port of Audierne and 12 kilometers from the Pointe du Raz, our Hotel is the ideal starting point to discover the Cap Sizun. You can take your time here. A chance for coffee on the terrace, a breakfast conversation, and a view of the granite church and its elegant bell tower.

Our history

A home that has been passed down from one generation to another

©VIEZZER Martin/Tourisme Bretagne

Sixty years ago, my parents had this large house built on the land where my great grandparents and grandfather's business had already been located. Their plan was uncomplicated: create a place where people feel good, where you can sleep and eat well. A heart warming place, where passing visitors become, over time, regulars... then friends.

It is our turn to make the house come alive today

We have kept the original spirit : a sincere welcome, traditional homemade cuisine and attention to the small details that make everything feel different The wood paneling, antique furniture, photos hanging on the walls, and tables where stories mingle are all part of the story of our journey.

We like to see the same people come back, year after year. There are those who have been present from the start. Others are opening the door for the first time and are already discussing coming back. The story we tell is a living history that continues and is written by you.

Our Rooms & Suites

Simple spaces that make one feel good

Seventeen rooms. Some overlook the garden, others the village church. All have been created to make you feel comfortable. Soft light, good bedding, and solid wood. Double rooms, family suites, and one room accessible to people with reduced mobility. Just what is necessary to get a good night's sleep and start your day on the right foot.

There are many customers who enjoy coming back. Some people request the same room every year. They like to discover the charm of the inn again, its simple and relaxed atmosphere. The Auberge du Cabestan is more than just a hotel; it is a family home.

©PORIEL Thibault/Tourisme Bretagne

We are on one of Brittany's lands ends surrounded by the ocean. It is here, on this rocky promontory swept by the spray, that you will discover breathtaking landscapes, dominated by the impressive cliffs of Pointe du Raz and Pointe du Van.

Cap Sizun, which is recognized as a Grand Site de France, is where you can start hiking trails that are exceptional, such as the GR34.

The pier for the island of Sein is less than 3 kilometers away. This island practically at sea leveldeserves at least one day dedicated to it.

This place is perfect for walkers, bird lovers, and lighthouse enthusiasts.
